CHECK OUT OUR NEW INVESTIGATIONS
The Ghost Trackers will be heading to Tombstone, Arizona in the next couple of weeks. The group has been invited to join Movie Mix Productions to film investigations in and around Tombstone for a new documentary they are filming. You can visit Movie Mix Productions at www.moviemix.com to see the other documentaries they have done.
The Ghost Trackers are working on two different documentaries with Movie Mix Productions. One of them is in Tombstone while the other is an as yet unnamed documentary. Filming of this documentary will take place over the next few weeks. Below are pictures of the Ghost Trackers and Movie Mix Productions workers Tim and Scott.
On the left is a picture of Scott and Tim with some Ghost Trackers members watching the filming taking place. On the right, a Ghost Trackers member is being cued again. Ghost Trackers member, Jim, is seen going crazy...."not another take".
Filming is not easy and takes many man hours. Just filming the introduction of this documentary took almost four hours.
Our Biggest THANKS to Scott Freund and Tim Csabanyi of Movie Mix Productions for their patience, generosity and thoughtfulness in allowing us to be a part of their documentary.
The Buford House Bed and Breakfast has consented to allow us to do an investigation in their facility while we are filming in Tombstone. We thank the Buford House Bed and Breakfast for their generosity.
The Buford House, 113 E. Safford St., Tombstone, Arizona, (520) 457-9223, is included in the National Register of Historic Places.
At the Buford House, visitors can stay in the same building inhabited by the last Arizona stagecoach driver, two sheriffs, a mayor, a state senator and the home's original owner, George Buford, a wealthy mine owner from the late 1800's.
The Buford House, also an 1880's adobe home, also may have housed famed Western writer George Whitwell Parsons, said Ruth Allen, who owns the home with her husband, Richard Allen.
Some of these inns are reportedly haunted, but many of the owners deny seeing ghosts. Spooky stories abound.
At the Buford House, Ruth Allen keeps a large beaded rosary tied to the bottom of the stairway banister, "just in case of any".
The story goes, that during the 19th century, a young man once lived in the house with his father, Allen said. He fell in love with a young woman who lived across the street.
One day, however, he saw the woman holding hands with another man. Thinking that he had lost his love, the young man supposedly shot himself in the head and died in front of the house. But still another version suggests that the young man shot his beau before returning to the Buford House and committing suicide, Allen said.
"Sometimes I've heard unexplained noises from upstairs," she said. "Once I left my husband's shirt hanging in the bathroom with an empty tub. I came back to the bathroom and the shirt had been dropped into the tub, which now had water. I donÍt know, but something must have happened."
